|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique visitors so visit counts are not double-counted. | Up to 2 years | Google Analytics |
_ga_<container-id> | Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4. | Up to 2 years | Google Analytics |
Advertising cookies (consent required)
When you allow advertising cookies, Google and its partners may set cookies to measure the results of our marketing and to show more relevant advertising. These cookies are not set when advertising consent is refused or withdrawn.
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Measures conversions and supports audience features for Google Ads. | Up to 90 days | Google Ads |

Cookie names and lifetimes are set by Google and can change. See Google’s cookie information for the current list.
3. Google Analytics and Google signals
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the public site is used. Google acts as our service provider and processes analytics data on our behalf. Google may process this data on servers outside Singapore. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com.
Google signals. If you allow advertising cookies and you are signed in to a Google account with Ads Personalisation turned on, Google may associate the Analytics data it collects from your visits with your Google account. This provides us with aggregated, de-identified demographics and interests information. We do not receive your identity. You can review or delete this association at any time through Google My Activity.
User ID. When you are signed in and allow analytics cookies, we send Google Analytics an internal numeric account identifier. It is not your name, phone number, username, or any other directly identifying value. It lets Analytics connect activity from the same account across sessions and devices, which makes our reports more accurate.
User-provided data (beta). When you are signed in and allow advertising cookies, we may send Google a SHA-256 hash of your account phone number for conversion measurement and audience features. The number is normalized and hashed before it leaves our servers, so Google receives a one-way hash rather than your phone number. We do not use this feature for sensitive categories.
Granular location and device data. With analytics consent, Google Analytics may collect city-level location derived from your IP address and general device metadata (such as browser, operating system, and screen category). We do not receive your precise location or your device identifiers.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at My Ad Center or Google Ads Settings.
4. How to control cookies
- Cookie banner and settings. Use the cookie banner or the Cookie settings control to accept, reject, or change each category. Withdrawing consent stops future collection and does not affect processing that already happened.
- Browser controls. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and parts of the site. See the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
- Google controls. Manage personalised ads and Google activity through the Google links in section 3.
5. Personal data and your rights
Some cookie data is personal data under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act. We collect and use it only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You may also ask us for access to, or correction of, your personal data, or ask us to stop using it for a stated purpose. Contact us at admin@matchatutor.sg.
Read the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect and how we handle it.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our tools or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects your choices, we will ask for consent again where required.
